Dorian Michael Olivarez is an American grappler and wrestler who became one of the youngest ADCC Trials champions in history when he won the 2023 East Coast Trials at just 17, defeating established competitors including two-time No-Gi World Champion Gianni Grippo. A standout folkstyle wrestler — and the first athlete ever ranked in the Top 10 on both FloWrestling and FloGrappling simultaneously — he joined John Danaher's New Wave Jiu-Jitsu and was promoted to black belt by Danaher on January 30, 2025 at age 19. Olivarez won the 2024 IBJJF No-Gi World Championship at brown belt, submitting all opponents, represented Team New Wave at CJI 2, and captured a second ADCC Trials gold in 2025. He is a product of training in his father Mike Olivarez's garage gym before arriving on the world stage.
