Biography
Jose Carlos Moreira, born July 3, 1961 in Rio de Janeiro, is one of the first non-Gracie BJJ black belts to move to the US and started the first BJJ tournaments in America. He earned his black belt under Francisco Mansur in 1984 and was promoted to 9th degree red belt in 2024.
