Biography
Mackenzie Dern is an American-Brazilian grappler and UFC strawweight fighter, the daughter of legendary BJJ competitor Wellington "Megaton" Dias. Earning her black belt at age 19, she became the only woman to win gold at all five principal IBJJF gi championships — Worlds (2015, 2016), Europeans, Pan-Americans, Brazilian Nationals, and the Asian Open. Dern also captured the 2015 ADCC World Championship at -60 kg and two No-Gi World titles. Her transition to professional MMA brought her to the UFC, where she has become one of the division's most dangerous submission threats, seamlessly blending world-class ground work with an evolving striking game.
