Biography
Petter Kleven, born in 1975, has been training jiu-jitsu for more than a quarter of a century. Luciano Queiroz gave him his blue belt in 2010, Clark Gracie his purple in 2016, and Clark Gracie himself promoted him to brown belt in 2018 — a clean Gracie Allegiance ladder that runs straight through his coaching career.
He co-owns and instructs at Gracie Allegiance Norway in Sandvika, on the western edge of greater Oslo, where he is one of the senior figures running the day-to-day curriculum. The room's GA identity — methodical, technique-first, Clark Gracie-flavoured — has a lot to do with the bench of long-tenured instructors like him.
His distinctive contribution is injury-prevention coaching: a side of jiu-jitsu rarely treated seriously in Norway, and one that gives Kleven a recognisable lane within Gracie Allegiance's wider Norwegian operation.
