Ross Ranson's martial-arts CV runs the full menu. Born in England, he started karate at age 4 and stayed with it until moving to Norway at 11. Boxing came as a teenager, MMA at 20, and BJJ followed across rooms in England and Sweden before he settled into Norwegian training.
From 2016 he became a regular at Bærum MMA in Sandvika. Professor Clark Gracie awarded him blue belt in 2017 and purple in 2021 — a clean Gracie-line promotion sequence that places him inside the Gracie Allegiance Norway technical family.
He now teaches BJJ Advanced and Drill classes at Gracie Allegiance Norway / Taifun Kampsport, and the breadth of his earlier striking and grappling life shows in how he coaches: less a sport-only purple belt, more a long-distance martial artist working out of a Gracie room.
