Simen Raudstein is one of the long-time figures inside Bergen Grappling, working as a black-belt instructor in both BJJ and submission wrestling. He carries a Danish Open bronze in grappling, earned on a Scandinavian circuit that has historically been one of the better regional proving grounds for Norwegian competitors.
His coaching shows up across the regular Bergen Grappling programme and at the academy's seminars, where he sits alongside Daniel Sørensen and Knut Roald Wake in a stable, multi-decade core of instructors who have made the club what it is.
He fits a recognisable pattern in Norwegian BJJ: a serious technical black belt with a parallel career — in his case as a geologist — using a full life away from the mats to fund and support a real one on them.
