Stian Bergseth's name is on a small but durable list of historical firsts: in 2016 he became the first Norwegian Clark Gracie blue belt, the year Norway formally connected to the Clark Gracie line; in 2019 he was promoted to purple. Together with Daniel Snekvik he co-founded Clark Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Norway in 2018 and now serves as co-owner and marketing manager of Gracie Allegiance Norway.
Before BJJ took over, he was writing about MMA — covering UFC events in Europe and contributing to MMA websites — and that media background continues to shape how the Gracie Allegiance Norway brand presents itself online.
He also coaches BJJ Basic at Kaze Dojo. Bergseth is one of the operators who turned a niche lineage affiliation into a working organisation in Norway, with each Clark Gracie belt in the country passing through the system he and Snekvik built.
