Torbjørn Lund launched Norz Apparel in 2022 with a tight visual identity: Norwegian BJJ fightwear leaning hard on Norse and Scandinavian motifs rather than the standard Brazilian-flavoured graphics that dominate the market. The brand has since pushed into global distribution, putting a Norwegian-rooted look on mats well beyond Scandinavia.
Closely tied to Tommy Langaker and his Wulfing competition group, Norz has become a visible piece of the kit on Norway's most-photographed black belt and his training partners — turning the brand into something more than a wholesale operation. When Langaker walks out, the brand walks out with him.
Lund's contribution to Norwegian BJJ is therefore on the business and identity side rather than the mat: building a domestic fightwear company that gives Norwegian grappling a distinctly Norwegian visual signature, instead of borrowing the iconography of the country where the art originally came from.
